for the SS3 class of ms paz, 2008 CE

kindly transform your report into a brief PowerPoint presentation. I expect the ff. parts to be presented on the ppt:

1. brief introduction of the civilization: in a creative way, how will you introduce the civilization to people who have little or no knowledge of it? describe geographical location. what were their major achievements? what were its major contributions to humanity? what is the civilization known for? (in 3-5 slides)

2. who are its people? how did they live, what did they believe in and what were their unique/bizarre practices/ideas? in what ways were they similar to people of today? (2-4 slides)

3. discussion of a controversy/important cultural characteristic/important event in their history (3-7 slides)

4. the last slide must show the names of the members and a BIBLIOGRAPHY of references used.

For the cultural presentation, you can do ONE of the ff :

- video-tape your short performance and attach it to the ppt

- make a short (3-5-minute) “MTV” (using windows moviemaker) featuring the civilization’s legacies or achievements. if you can’t use the moviemaker then you may copy the pictures on the ppt slides and post captions at the bottom.

- attach the song (that is, if you planned on presenting a song or dancing to the tune of it…)

- present trivia-information about the civilization (Did You Know? format) , 3-5 slides

Additional requirement to be submitted by the group leader: short summary of the powerpoint and the contributions made by each member (1-page short bond).

If you’re already done with the outline of presentation and the handout/”pamphlet”, you may submit them too for bonus points.

35% – quizzes and LT; 5%-Porfolio Entry; 10%-recitation ; 5%-sw’s and hw’s; 10%-Project; 35%-periodic test
